Kipxin was running forward, the brisk cold air running freely through her fur. It was exhilarating and she heard the paws of her pack mates pounding the ground behind her.
Her peripheral vision caught the black streak of Kole's fur trot beside her before running ahead. He looked back with a taunting look in his eyes. Kipxin smiled back, dipping her head to run harder to catch up as she watched Kole fall, sprawling as if he were a puppy across the ground.
Kipxin threw her head back in laughter and amusement and dipped her head to nudge his face as she ran by. She saw Bain appear as if from no where to assist Kole. She knew he'd catch up to the meal, but the scent of the deer had taken over her senses and it excited her.
She looked to Whisper who was still running behind her, suppressing a laugh. She grinned back at her and continue to run to the deer up ahead.
The deer way laying on the ground with its warm blood creating a slushy maroon mess around its carcass. Two ravens had found their way to the kill, picking at the freshly exposed flesh.
Kipxin finally reached the deer and almost dove into it, taking the first bite. She turned to meet Whisper, meat hanging sloppily out of her mouth and she nodded her head for Whisper to join her.

Kole tried to squirm to his feet after Kipxin brushed by. He felt Bain trip up against him, and hurriedly stumbled back to his feet chasing after the others. His tongue hung loosely from his maw, salivating from the wonderful scent of meat in the air. He soon arrived at the kill with the others with a big grin. He trotted up to Whisper and nudged his head against her shoulder playfully.
"Great job!"
He ran over to the carcass next to Kip and brushed up against her playfully grabbing at the meat that hung from her jaw eying her with his bright green eyes.

Notes: I didn't do a whole lot with Bain because I wanted to get in on this!

Kipxin grinned at Kole who was now facing her with portions of deer hanging from his maw. It was empowering for them to eat as a pack; it gave Kipxin a sense of pride to know that they were in this together and could work together so flawlessly.
Sinking her nose into the open stomach of the deer, Kipxin felt the hot metallic consistency of blood coat her fur and clog her nostrils. Using her teeth to scrape against the bone, she took up the tender meat between her teeth. The warmth and tenderness caused the same warmth from the blood to spread throughout her and give her a surge of energy.
As she chewed, she sniffed out the blood that, as it was beginning to dry, tickled her nose. Her nose twitched as she suppressed a sneeze and continued to chomp on her meal, completely content.

Kole munched hungrily on the fresh meat loving the taste of the still warm blood flowing down his throat. He grinned at the others before continuing his hunger fuelled attack on the deer. Soon he had eaten his fair share and flopped down on the ground to roll in the grass playfully next to the others. He paused his movements, sprawled out on his back and smiled up at the alpha.

Kipxin laughed as Kole flopped onto the ground. With him sprawled out like that and the way he looked up at her made him look like an adorable puppy.
Leaning down after she swallowed her morsel, she nuzzled Kole's face with her own. The cold beneath her paws was so contradictory to the warmth surrounding her: the breath of her feeding pack-mates, the warm blood pooling around their paws and in their bellies, and the radiance of whatever feeling each one of them silently felt within them that came with the season.
The frustration of this emotion overturned within Kipxin, causing her to feel anxious. She suppressed it, but every part of her wanted to submit to the feeling; the uncertainty of it frightened her, so she ignored it.

Kole's eyes widened as she leaned towards him. He felt her nuzzle him and without hesitation he nuzzled her back, basking in the warmth in his chest and forehead where her touch melted against him. His heart beat radically thumping away in his chest so hard he thought it might burst out and run away. The touch may of felt as though it lasted for days but all too soon it was gone and his closed eyes urged to open. Soon enough he submitted to the feeling gazing back up at the alpha in a daze. He wasn't quite sure what was happening to him. He had never felt the feelings he had before. They were strange and warm and intense and every thing in his mind told him to stay close to that alpha. He kept his green eyes locked on hers wanting her to see in his gaze the feelings that he felt. She needed to understand.

Whisper had been gazing off into space after she had had her fill of meat, she had vaguely heard kole congratulate her but it was eared by the warm and fuzzy feeling of being full. Whisper had taken a bone from the deer and had taken a few steps away from the carcass to chew it, she regarded Kole and Kipxin and almost smiled they were like moonstruck lovers. Whisper paused for a moment feeling lonely, it was almost as if she wanted to be loved by somebody, but she pushed it aside, she had more important things to do than find a mate. Whisper glanced back at the forest wondering where Azreal and Bain were. She contemplated going to look for them but she knew that bain would find his way and that Azreal was a capable wolf so she disregarded the moments apprehension that had sprung up on her at the thought of one of them hurt. Whisper watched as Kipxin and Kole gazed at each other, with some deeper feelings being portrayed in their locking eyes, and began to gnaw on her bone again, wondering if she should give them space.

This feeling was so new to Kipxin that she wasn't sure how to reciprocate it. There Kole was: a dark and mysterious wolf whom she trusted almost instantly with those striking green eyes that we're captivating to any wolf, but especially her.
His eyes had her from the first moment she saw him. They reassured her he wouldn't harm her and that he wasn't like the males of her past - the ones who had made her up to being worthless and insignificant. He was different, is different, and the young alpha's heart fluttered at the thought. This wolf, this complex, amazing wolf, might actually like her. And maybe, for just a fleeting moment, it occurred to the alpha that she, too, might feel the same.
The warmth of his nuzzle against her faded as she pulled away, but her mind still continue used to swirl in a vortex of possibilities. She glanced over her shoulder at Whisper who was gnawing on a bone and giving the two of them a strange look Kipxin couldn't quite decipher. She could only comprehend the feeling of exposure that panted embarrassment through her and almost instantly the swirling vortex vanished. She couldn't show such affection in front of her pack-mates; it wasn't right and it made her feel vulnerable.
Kipxin, trying almost desperately to get that look off Whisper's face, proposed the two of them and Bain set off to find her a den.

Whisper paused looking at Kipxin who, if she hadn't known better, looked as if she was blushing. Whisper paused she had been content but there was a deeper feeling residing within her, she shook it off, it was telling her things she didn't need to hear. Whisper paused as she heard her alpha's voice ring forward towards her, she couldn't quiet catch the exact words but she knew that Kipxin had said that Bain should come with them. Whisper hesitated Bain was not with them right now and even though Whisper could scent him it was a vague sort of impression that she got, not a solid wolf. She didn't know what Kipxin meant, should she go find Bain? Whisper sent a slightly puzzled glance at Kipxin, and wondered why the alpha had pulled away from Kole. The pack was confusing to her but she shoved all of her curiosity downward, it only got her into trouble, she needed to focus, what did Kipxin need? Whisper only waited a second longer before she spoke softly, loud enough to be heard but not loud "Should I go find Bain?" trying not to seem disrespectful.

Kipxin smiled at Whisper, though she was looking at her as though she was crazy. With a puzzled expression, the alpha turned around and expected to see Bain, but instead only saw trees.
With her ears pushed back in confusion, Kipxin felt a bit embarrassed. She had just see the wolf bump into Kole on their way to their meal and figured, since most wolves would, that Bain would've followed them here. But she was wrong; Bain was nowhere to be found.
Sighing slightly, Kipxin raised her head, shook it, and motioned for Whisper to follow.
"We'll meet up later with Bain, but for now, it's about finding you a place to sleep tonight. It's much too cold for us to be sleeping in the clearing anymore."

With warmth in his chest as he gazed up at the alpha, it felt extra cold when she looked away. He had tried hard to relay his thoughts and feelings through that look. He saw the purpose in her expression as she turned away from him, and his heart dropped. He directed his gaze down to his crimson speckled paws feeling something somewhere between hurt and embarrassment. Kole had no doubt in his mind that Whisper had seen all that had happened. He drifted away, while looking down at his paws. He didn't know what this feeling he had was, but he was pretty sure that it wasn't something that he shared with Kip. Kole fell in step with the others, trailing behind whisper, his head low and his tail nearly brushing the ground.

Whisper listened to Kipxin and nodded toward her, it made sense not to wait if Azreal could show him the way. Whisper turned to follow as Kole trailed along side Kipxin none of the warmth that had been there a second ago showing, and wondered if it was because of her. She sighed it was so dazzling out why did it have to be ruined by bitter feelings? She contemplated this for a small while but did not think to deeply, even if Kipxin and Kole were mates, even though they might not have publicly announced it they were obviously not sure about their feelings or bad at communicating them. She followed trailing after Kipxin in thought of what had happened trying to piece it together again in a way that might make more sense.

At last they reached the den site just as the sun was beginning to set. Kipxin took a deep breath in and allowed the cool air and the scent of home to circulate through her. She tried to keep her head clear, but all she could think of was Kole and how she turned away from him. She regretted it whole-heartedly, but she needed to be the alpha before anything else. He was a sweet distraction, but she needed to remain respected and powerful. These were qualities expected as an alpha, but the thought of presiding over anything go without Kole there beside her made everything seem pointless.
Shaking her head to herself, she tried to rid her mind of such thoughts. Her family and their safety was what was important and she needed to get her priorities strait.
Kipxin motioned with her head for Whisper to approach her, and as she turned her head she momentarily laid eyes on Kole, desperately trying to portray her emotions through that quick and subtle look. If anyone could read her, it was Kole.
Trying to stay focused, she showed Whisper a small hole created from tree roots in the side of the mountain. It was near the alphas den but closer to the area where more smaller dens were. The small den the alpha presented wasn't very impressive at first glance, but she knew it was able to be dug out from the inside to create much more space.
"What do you think?"
Kipxin asked Whisper with a sparkle in her eye. This was always her favorite part - picking the den. It made her feel as if this family was forever and that for once in her life she wouldn't be abandoned.

Kole almost walked into Whisper as they stopped. He pulled his eyes away from the ground before him to glance at Kipxin. He held her gaze for a quick second noticing the look she gave him. His felt his heart beating in his throat. He tried once more to show what he felt through his eyes but soon she was looking away motioning towards the den. He slowly stepped forward studying the hole between the roots. He normally slept out in the open, not wanting to be cornered in case anything happened. His lack of memory left him feeling anxious. He was part of a family now and he needed to prove that to the others. Kole would be there by their side not only looking out for himself, but for the others as well. That's what a family was. He smiled at the alpha and spoke in a quiet voice.
"Looks comfy."
He peaked his head in, letting his eyes adjust to the low amount of light in the den. He glanced over his shoulder smiling at whisper before crawling inside. He turned around looking over the area hoping he would be able to sleep comfortably there. Kole peaked his head out glancing at the alpha with a grin.
"Are you sleeping here too?"
